An ice pop is a water-based frozen snack. It is made by freezing flavored liquid (such as fruit juice) around a stick. The invention of the ice pops with a ha-ndy stick can be credited to a man named Frank Epperson. Now it can be mass producted with stick ice cream machine in ice cream plant. Ice pop have been a favourite heat-beating treat around the world for many years, so it have different names in different places.

In Canada a-nd U.S. it is called "popsicle", in Irela-nd a-nd U.S. it is called "freeze pop", in United Kingdom a-nd Irela-nd it is called "ice lolly", in parts of Australia a-nd New Zeala-nd, it is called "ice block" or "icy pole", in Cayman Isla-nds it is called "chihiro", a-nd in chinese it is called "bing bang" , "bing gun er" or "xue gao". It is interesting, is not it?
